Send a message(+30) 2610 221354The lymphatic system plays a critical role in the body's detoxification processes, in fluid balance and in immune function. Holistic approaches hold that supporting lymphatic drainage may have a positive effect on the appearance of cellulite — both by clearing waste and excess fluid from the tissues, and through improved circulation and tissue oxygenation.
The blend brings together five herbs with a lymphatic, diuretic and circulatory character, ready to use.
Gotu kola, ginkgo biloba, dandelion, cleavers, rosemary.
Gotu kola (Centella asiatica) — traditionally used for wound healing. Clinical studies have linked it with the formation of new collagen, and Italian researchers examined it in relation to circulation and fluid retention in people with weak veins.
Ginkgo biloba (Ginkgo biloba) — associated with the rate of blood circulation throughout the body and possessing antioxidant properties. Useful where circulation is poor or where areas with cellulite feel noticeably colder.
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) — one of the best-known diuretic herbs. Unlike many diuretics that lead to potassium loss, dandelion itself contains high levels of potassium. It is also high in antioxidants.
Cleavers (Galium aparine) — diuretic, astringent and a tonic for the lymphatic system. Lymphatic herbs are the ones recommended as a priority in the modern herbal approach to cellulite.
Rosemary — associated with stimulating lymphatic circulation and blood flow, with a toning and firming character for the skin.
Add one heaped teaspoon of the blend to a cup of boiled water. Cover and leave for 10 minutes. Strain and drink 2–3 cups a day.
Tip: traditionally combined with topical application of ivy oil or seaweed oil.Amounts are indicative and based on traditional use and published herbal literature. For prolonged use or if you are on medication, consult a healthcare professional.
Breaks in use. Take a 1-week break after every 15 days of continuous use.
Anticoagulant therapy. This blend is not to be combined with antithrombotic or antiplatelet medication, as the action of the herbs — particularly ginkgo — affects blood flow and platelet function. Discontinue two weeks before surgery.
Do not use the blend if you have a fever.
Its diuretic character calls for adequate hydration. Not suitable in kidney or heart failure, nor alongside diuretic medication without medical advice. Dandelion is not suitable in bile duct obstruction or gallstones, or with an Asteraceae allergy.
Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without professional advice. Not intended for children. If you are on medication or have a chronic condition, consult your doctor before use.
