Why we do it

We are a specialist herb shop with a large collection. We love what we do, and our reasons are not only about making a living.

We want to introduce you to the world of herbs and natural foods: to give you the spark to look further and learn more, and to share our own experience with you. So that, in the end, we all learn to look after ourselves responsibly, safely and effectively.

In this way we help build a community of knowledge that brings together centuries of tradition and today's evidence.

For us, success will mean having made a difference to people's everyday lives and quality of life, through habits of mindful, purposeful self-care.

How we do it

"Hand-picked, one by one"

Every product that goes on our shelves is chosen by the same standard: we do not stock products we would not use ourselves. We do not sell something because it is fashionable if it has no real value.

"One step at a time"

We do not want your herbs to sit on a shelf for you to look at. Take a few, start with those, and use them with patience and consistency, as simply and as pleasantly as you can. We do not promise "miracle" cures for every ailment: every person is different.

By need, by category or with the search bar. The shop was built so that you can easily find what you are looking for.

Our story: in Patras since 2011

We opened in 2011 as a couple: one of us with ten years in the pharmaceutical sector, the other with a background in sales. It was the time when the economic crisis had entered everyone's life in Greece. The conditions were not promising. We did not hesitate.

The reason was personal. During a complaint that was not dangerous but would not go away, when the solutions we had tried had not brought results, a grandmother gave us an old herbal recipe. That experience made us want to learn this knowledge in depth and to share it.

In the early days our shelves held a few herbs, many spices and traditional grocery goods. Our customers soon showed us the way: they came to us for herbs and superfoods, for everything to do with wellbeing. It was what we already knew suited us best. Those few herbs have grown to more than 300 today.

In 2016 we opened yperikon.gr. Today the store is also available in English, and we ship to all European Union countries.

In the centre of Patras and online

You will find us at Patreos 41-45, in the city centre. Come and smell the aromatic herbs and the teas, and ask us anything.

We work with Greek producers, certified organic suppliers and reputable herb and tea houses. Alongside our retail customers, we supply restaurants, cafés, hotels and pharmacies in Greece.

Every order is prepared with care, packed properly and dispatched promptly. If anything is not right, talk to us and we will find a solution.

We are a family business, not an algorithm. We will be waiting to hear how it went.
